Warrandyte Seniors and Reserves were both bundled out of the EFL Premiership race on the first day of finals at Ringwood's Jubilee Park recently. On what was a disappointing day for the club, the Seniors were beaten by 27 points at the hands of Doncaster, while the Reserves suffered a 65 points loss against Chirnside Park. Despite a strong finish to the season, the Under 18s narrowly missed participating in finals after finishing in fifth place. The squad, consisting of thirty players nominated by the coaches of the ten Third Division clubs (who cannot nominate their own players), will be narrowed down to the Team of the Year shortly. Congratulations to WFC Captain Tom Naughtin, veteran Matthew Wood and young gun Dion Mullett-Treloar on their inclusion in this illustrious group of players. TEAM OF THE DECADE 2000 - 2009 Warrandyte Football Club recently were proud to announce their Team of the Decade for 2000-2009 in a ceremony at Beau Monde in Doncaster. A good mix of players from the early 2000's along with several current day players were named, including a couple of players who were also named in the 1990-1999 Team of the Decade.
