The 2012 pre-season campaign kicked off on Monday 14th November with around 65 players attending the first session. In positive signs for the future, this included many new faces. Footballs were put on ice for the time being as players were tested for fitness, although coach John O'Brien said footies will be coming out very soon and ball work will be a major focus of the pre-season leading up to Christmas. Training continues 6pm Mon and Wed at Warrandyte Reserve (small oval).

BIGGS DRAFTED TO SWANS Warrandyte Football Club's Shane Biggs has been picked up by the Sydney Swans in the AFL Rookie Draft. After making his senior football debut with the Bloods in 2010, last year Biggs played at the Bendigo Bombers and Mulgrave in Division One of the EFL. In 2010, Biggs was named as Warrandyte's Best First Year Player. All at Warrandyte FC wish Shane the best of luck next year with the Swans, hopefully the start of a long and successful AFL career!

Warrandyte Football Club's season launch is always a great event and this year will be no different. The event kicks off at 7pm on Friday the 30th of March at Club Warrandyte.
