| The coffin had survived the 2004 wake and after a quick paint job from Dutchy we were ready to say goodbye to season 2005. A 10:30 start was sure to get the late fines ticking over and we managed to fill the coffin with beer, Beam and UDL's in no time. Once again the procession was respected by locals, perhaps the two cars blocking the roundabout took it too far. Another great day, with Tanka Powell BOW. | After a few years of absence the old tradition of Bridge Mania returned. The 2004 season wake was held on Sunday August 22nd. After starting at the pub at 12pm the boys filled the coffin with beer and bourbon and marched down the middle of Yarra Street in a mock funeral procession. Thanks to the patient drivers behind us, especially those who turned their lights on in a show of respect. Once we arrived at the bridge it was a good solid session had by all before returning to the Grand until closing. A good lead up to the footy trip! | |
